Maxim Belotserkovsky Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Maxim Belotserkovsky trained
at the School of Dance in Kiev.
From 1990 to 1994, he was a leading soloist with the National Opera
of Bulgaria. From 1991 to 1994, he was a leading soloist with the National
Opera of the Ukraine, and while with this company was awarded the title
of "etoile" in 1992.
With the National Opera of the Ukraine, Mr. Belotserkovsky toured Japan,
Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Rumania, India, and
Egypt. In 1993, he was honored by the President of the Ukraine for outstanding
artistic achievement.
Mr. Belotserkovsky's repertoire included the Prince in Cinderella, Albrecht
and the peasant pas de deux in Giselle, the Prince in The Nutcracker,
Prince Desire and the Bluebird in Sleeping Beauty, Prince Siegfried,
the pas de trois and Neapolitan Dance in Swan Lake, the pas d'action
from La Bayadere, the pas de deux from Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, and
La Sylphide, and Alexander in Swan Lake (with the Hamburg Ballet).
Mr. Belotserkovsky joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the
corps de ballet in 1994 and was appointed Soloist in May, 1995. His
roles with the Company include Espada in Don Quixote and the peasant
pas de deux in Giselle. He created a leading role in States of Grace.
